It did pull off a small amount of paint when I was repositioning one of the squares but it is possible that the fresh paint wasn’t cured enough. Not a big deal, as it’s a lipstick makeover. I love the look so much that I ordered more to go across my ceiling too. I'm so happy with how my kitchen project turned out! I'm excited to see it's durability on the ceiling. If you like any old, Pier1, Tibetan themed home decor, brass color, 24 carat gold, without being tacky. So happy that I didn’t mess around with gold paint or gold leafing and went with this instead. It was extremely sticky and pulled the paint off the wall when I pulled up a corner to get a bubble out.
